# How does GDPR affect SnapWidget?

> What data SnapWidget widgets collect from your website visitors, which cookies they use, and how to delete your SnapWidget data.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU law that protects personal data. This page explains what SnapWidget does with data from your website visitors and from you.

## Data from your website visitors

SnapWidget widgets do not ask your visitors for their name or email address.

Widgets use Google Analytics to collect statistics about how visitors use the widget. Google Analytics can set cookies in your visitors' browsers, such as `_ga`. Widgets also load through Cloudflare, our content delivery network, which can set its own cookies.

Our [Cookie Policy](https://snapwidget.com/cookies) and [Privacy Policy](https://snapwidget.com/privacy) have the full details.

To turn off Google Analytics in your widgets, email [support@snapwidget.com](mailto:support@snapwidget.com).

## Tell your visitors that you use SnapWidget

You can use our [sample wording](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CmZKjHY0p6G6jhPCpuA14-NVMZR6zlHdySLqBU9A79Y) in your own privacy policy. It is general text, so change it to fit how you use SnapWidget. Ask your own lawyer to check it.

## Your own data

SnapWidget stores the details of your account, such as your email address, and the social accounts that you connect to your widgets.

* To change your email address or password, go to **Settings** > **Account**.
* To get a copy of your data, email [support@snapwidget.com](mailto:support@snapwidget.com).
* To delete your account and all your widgets, see [Delete your account](/docs/account/delete-your-account).
