# Will my photos automatically update in the widget when I post them to Instagram?

> Yes. Your SnapWidget widget shows your new posts on its own. You do not need to change the widget or its code.

Yes. When you post to Instagram, your widget shows the new post on its own. Widgets for Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube also update on their own. You do not need to change the widget or the code on your website.

How soon a new post shows up:

| Widget | Refreshes every |
| - | - |
| Free widgets | 15 minutes |
| Pro Instagram and Facebook widgets | 5 minutes |

Your visitors see new posts the next time they load the page. To update a page that a visitor keeps open, use a Pro widget and set **Auto Refresh** to **Yes** on the **Advanced** tab. Then set **Auto Refresh Time** to the number of minutes you want.

> [!NOTE]
>
> You only need new code when you change a setting such as **Responsive** or **Photo Link**. See [Find your widget code](/docs/getting-started/find-your-widget-code).

## If your widget stops updating

Your widget needs a working connection to your account. If the connection expires, the widget stops showing new posts. Your dashboard then shows **Requires Re-Auth** on the widget. To fix it, see [My widget needs to be updated](/docs/troubleshooting/widget-needs-to-be-updated).

For other causes, see [My widget is not updating](/docs/troubleshooting/widget-not-updating).
