# Is the free widget still free?

> Yes. Free SnapWidget widgets cost nothing, and you can make as many as you like without a paid plan.

Yes. Free widgets cost nothing, and you can make as many as you like. You do not need a paid plan.

Free widgets:

* Show posts from Instagram and Facebook.
* Use the Grid, Board, Slideshow or Scrolling layout. Instagram also has the Popup layout.
* Refresh every 15 minutes.
* Open a SnapWidget page when a visitor clicks a post, not your Instagram post.

When you create a widget, click **Use the free widget** to make a free widget. If you already have widgets, click **Create a new widget** on your dashboard, then click the **Free** tab to see every free widget.

A paid plan adds Pro widgets, with X, TikTok and YouTube, the Feed layout and more settings. See [Free and Pro widgets](/docs/getting-started/free-and-pro-widgets).
