# How do I add an Instagram widget to my Serendipity website?

> Add your SnapWidget Instagram widget to a Serendipity (s9y) blog entry with the Entry Body field.

Paste your SnapWidget code into the body of a Serendipity blog entry where you want the widget to show. The same steps work for Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube widgets.

### In SnapWidget

1. [Create your widget](/docs/getting-started/create-an-instagram-widget), or open an existing widget from your [dashboard](https://snapwidget.com/dashboard).
2. Click **Get Widget**. For an existing widget, click **Update & Get Widget**.
3. In the **You're One Step Away** window, click **Copy To Clipboard**.

### In Serendipity

1. In the Serendipity admin, click **New Entry**. To change an entry that you made before, click **Edit Entries** and open the entry.

2. Paste your code into **Entry Body**. If you use the WYSIWYG editor, click **Source** first.

3. Make sure the entry is set to **Publish**, not **Draft**. Then click **Save**.

>
> The NL2BR markup plugin adds line breaks around the code, which can add empty space above the widget. To turn it off for this entry, select **Markup: NL2BR** under **Disable Markup plugins for this entry:**. This option comes from the "Extended properties for entries" plugin.

### Check your widget

Open your blog. The widget shows your latest Instagram posts in the entry.
