# How do I approve, hide or edit reviews?

> On the page of a review source, approve new G2 reviews, hide or show a review, highlight words in a review, and edit or delete your own reviews.

You control each review on the page of its source. To open the page, click **Sources** in the sidebar, then click the review source. To go back, click **Sources** above the name of the source.

A change on this page changes all the widgets that show the source. You do not need to change the code on your website.

## Approve new G2 reviews

The reviews of the first G2 import show in your widgets at once. A review that a later sync adds waits for your approval. It does not show in your widgets until you approve it.

When reviews wait for your approval:

* A number shows next to **Sources** in the sidebar.
* The **Status** of the source on the **Sources** page shows the number, for example **2 waiting**.
* SnapWidget sends you an email after the sync.

On the page of the source, a banner says how many new reviews wait for your approval. The waiting reviews come first in the list, with a **Waiting** badge.

* To show one review, click **Approve** on the review.
* To keep one review out of your widgets, click **Hide** on the review.
* To show all the waiting reviews, click **Approve All** in the banner.

### Approve new reviews on their own

A G2 source has the **Auto-approve** switch, next to **Sync Now** on the page of the source. It is off by default. Put the pointer on the switch to see what it does.

* **Off**: new reviews from a later sync wait for your approval.
* **On**: new reviews from a later sync show in your widgets at once.

SnapWidget sends you an email after each sync that adds reviews, with the switch on or off.

Reviews that you add yourself do not need approval. See [Add your own reviews](https://snapwidget.com/docs/reviews/add-your-own-reviews.md).

## Hide or show a review

Each review that does not wait for approval has a switch. The switch shows **Shown** or **Hidden**.

* Set the switch to **Hidden** to remove the review from all your widgets. The review stays on the page of the source.
* Set the switch to **Shown** to put the review back in your widgets.

A hidden G2 review stays hidden. A later sync does not show it again.

## Highlight words in a review

You can highlight words in a review, for example the sentence that you want visitors to read first. Your widgets show the highlighted words with a background color.

**1. Open the review**

Click the highlighter icon on the review. The **Highlight words** window opens.

**2. Select the words**

Select the words in the text of the review. Then click **Highlight**. Do this again for each part that you want to highlight.

**3. Save**

Click **Save**.

To remove a highlight, open the **Highlight words** window again. Click the **x** next to the words, then click **Save**.

To change the color of the highlighted words, open the widget and change **Highlights** in the **Colors** settings. See [Review widget settings](https://snapwidget.com/docs/reviews/review-widget-settings.md).

This works for G2 reviews and for your own reviews. A later G2 sync keeps your marks.

## Edit a review

You can edit the reviews in a **Your reviews** source. You cannot edit G2 reviews.

1. Click the pencil icon on the review. The **Edit review** window opens.
2. Change the fields.
3. Click **Save**.

## Delete a review

You can delete the reviews in a **Your reviews** source. Click the delete icon on the review, then click **Delete** to confirm. Your widgets stop showing the review.

To keep a G2 review out of your widgets, hide it.

## Delete a source

On the page of the source, click the delete icon next to the buttons at the top. Click **Delete** to confirm. SnapWidget deletes the source and all its reviews. Your widgets stop showing them.

You can also delete a source on the **Sources** page. Open the menu of the source and click **Delete**.
