> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://snapwidget.com/docs/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # What settings does a review widget have? > Choose the sources, the reviews, the order, the theme, the cards, the colors and the font of your review widget, or add custom CSS. To change the settings, click the widget on your [dashboard](https://snapwidget.com/dashboard). The review widget builder opens. The sources of the widget are at the top. Under them are the layout and its settings. The preview shows each change. To save, click **Save** in the **Unsaved changes** bar, or click **Install Widget**. You do not need to change the code on your website. Only a change to or from the **Avatars** layout needs new code. See [Install a review widget](https://snapwidget.com/docs/reviews/install-a-review-widget.md). Some settings show only for some layouts. ## Sources The **Sources** box at the top of the builder shows the review sources of the widget, with the number of reviews in each. * To add a source, click **Add**, then click the source. To add a new source, click **New source**. The **Sources** page opens. * To remove a source from the widget, click **x** on the source. The source and its reviews stay on the **Sources** page. A widget with no sources shows no reviews. ## Layout Select the layout in **Widget Layout**. See [Review layouts](https://snapwidget.com/docs/reviews/create-a-review-widget.md#review-layouts). The settings under it change with the layout. ## Which reviews show | Setting | What it does | | - | - | | **Lowest rating** | Shows only the reviews with this rating or higher. **All reviews** also shows reviews that have no rating. Not on **Rating badge**. | | **Most reviews** | The largest number of reviews that the widget shows, from 1 to 100. On **Wall**, **Carousel**, **Marquee** and **List**. | | **Order** | **Newest first** or **Highest rating first**. Not on **Rating badge**. | Hidden reviews never show. See [Approve, hide and edit reviews](https://snapwidget.com/docs/reviews/manage-reviews.md). ## Look | Setting | What it does | | - | - | | **Theme** | **Light** or **Dark**. Use **Dark** on a page with a dark background. | | **Font** | **System** (the font of the visitor's device), **Inter** or **Geist** | | **Columns** | **Wall** only. 1 column, or up to 2, 3 or 4 columns. | | **Rows** | **Marquee** only. **1 row**, or **2 rows, opposite ways**. | ## Header On **Wall**, **Carousel**, **Marquee** and **List**. | Setting | What it does | | - | - | | **Average rating above the reviews** | Shows the average rating above the reviews. | | **Title (optional)** | A title above the reviews, for example "What our customers say". | ## Show Turn each part of a review on or off. | Setting | What it does | | - | - | | **Stars** | The star rating | | **Logo of the review site** | The logo of the site that the review comes from, for example G2 | | **Logo on the photo** | Puts the logo on the corner of the reviewer's photo. Shows when **Logo of the review site** and **Photo or initials** are on. | | **Photo or initials** | The photo of the reviewer. If a reviewer has no photo, or the photo does not load, the widget shows their initials. | | **Review title** | The title of the review | | **Date** | The date of the review | | **Shorten long reviews (Read more)** | **Wall** and **List** only. Shortens long texts. Visitors click the **Read more** text to see the full review. | On **Rating badge**, this part has one setting: **Logos of the review sites**. **Avatars** does not have this part. ## Cards On **Wall**, **Carousel**, **Marquee** and **List**. | Setting | What it does | | - | - | | **Spacing** | The space between the cards | | **Corner radius** | How round the corners of the cards are | | **Shadow** | The shadow under each card | | **Lines before Read more** | The number of lines that a long text shows before the **Read more** text. Needs **Shorten long reviews (Read more)**. | | **Read more text** | The text of the **Read more** link, for example in your own language | | **Border** | A line around each card | ## Colors Type a color as a hex code, for example `2563eb`. Leave a field empty to use the color of the theme. **Highlights** always needs a color. | Setting | What it colors | | - | - | | **Highlights** | The background of the words that you highlighted in a review. See [Highlight words in a review](https://snapwidget.com/docs/reviews/manage-reviews.md#highlight-words-in-a-review). | | **Card** | The background of the cards | | **Text** | The text | | **Stars** | The stars | | **Links** | The links | | **Border** | The line around the cards. Shows when **Border** is on. | **Card**, **Links** and **Border** are on **Wall**, **Carousel**, **Marquee** and **List** only. ## Avatars On **Avatars** only. | Setting | What it does | | - | - | | **Style** | **Photos and rating**: a stack of photos with stars and a short text. **Photos only**: a row of photos. | | **Photos** | The number of photos, from 3 to 20 | | **Text next to the stars** | A short text, for example "Loved by our customers". If you leave it empty, the widget shows the average rating and the number of reviews. **Photos and rating** only. | | **Button under the review (optional)** | The text of a button in the pop-up, under the review | | **Button link** | The link of the button, for example your sign-up page | ## Custom CSS Use **Custom CSS** for changes that the settings do not cover. Type the CSS in the box. You can use up to 3,000 characters.
