# My Instagram account is public, so why aren't my photos showing up?

> A public account is not enough. Your widget needs a creator or business Instagram account that you connect in SnapWidget.

A public account alone does not make your posts show. SnapWidget shows posts only from a creator or business Instagram account that you connect to the widget. Check these points.

> **You have a personal Instagram account**
>
> Personal accounts no longer work. Instagram closed the connection for personal accounts on December 4, 2024. [Switch to a creator account](/docs/instagram/switch-to-a-creator-account). It is free and takes a minute. Then open the widget, click **Reconnect** next to **Username**, and click **Update & Get Widget**.

> **The widget is connected to a different account**
>
> The **Username** field in the widget shows the connected account. If it is the wrong account, log out of that account in your browser. Then click **Reconnect**, sign in to the right account, and click **Update & Get Widget**.

> **The widget shows a message**
>
> * **Your widget needs to be updated**: [connect your account again](/docs/troubleshooting/widget-needs-to-be-updated).
> * **This filter option is not supported**: hashtag filters need an Instagram account that you connect with **Sign In With Facebook**. See [hashtag widgets](/docs/instagram/hashtag-widget).
> * **The hashtag you selected does not exist**: check the spelling in the **Hashtag** field.
> * **Widget settings invalid**: open the widget, check the settings, and click **Update & Get Widget**.

> **You see other photos, not yours**
>
> See [Why am I seeing someone else's photos?](/docs/troubleshooting/someone-elses-photos)
