# Nothing happens when I click on the username field in the widget setup

> If the sign-in window does not open, or you see Unable to link account, allow pop-ups for snapwidget.com and log in to the service in another tab.

When you click **Connect** next to **Username** (or **Reconnect** on a widget you made before), SnapWidget asks you to sign in to your account. For Instagram, the **Select Your Instagram Account** window opens. For Facebook, X and TikTok, a sign-in window opens.

If nothing happens, or you see **Oops!** with "Unable to link account. Please log into Instagram in a separate browser tab and make sure to allow popups for this website.", try these steps in order.

**1. Allow pop-ups for snapwidget.com**

Your browser can block the sign-in window. Look for a blocked pop-up icon in the address bar, and allow pop-ups for snapwidget.com. See the steps for [Chrome](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95472), [Safari](https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/block-pop-ups-sfri40696/mac) or [Edge](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/block-pop-ups-in-microsoft-edge-1d8ba4f8-f385-9a0b-e944-aa47339b6bb5).

**2. Log in to the service in a new tab**

Open Instagram, Facebook, X or TikTok in a new tab and log in to the account you want to show. Go back to SnapWidget and click **Connect** again.

**3. Check Firefox Facebook Container**

If you use Firefox with the Facebook Container add-on, it blocks Facebook and Instagram sign-in on other websites. [Allow snapwidget.com in Facebook Container](/docs/troubleshooting/firefox-facebook-container).

**4. Try a private window or another browser**

Other browser add-ons can also block the sign-in window. Open SnapWidget in a private window or a different browser and try again.
