# How do I display a photo in a lightbox?

> Set Photo Link to Lightbox on a Pro widget to open posts in a lightbox on your own page, so visitors stay on your site.

A lightbox opens the post on top of your page when a visitor clicks it. Visitors stay on your website. The lightbox shows the large photo or plays the video, with the account name and the caption. Visitors can move to the next or previous post with the arrows.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Lightbox needs a Pro widget. Pro widgets come with the Lite, Pro and Developer plans. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. See [Free and Pro widgets](/docs/getting-started/free-and-pro-widgets).

**1. Open your widget**

On your [dashboard](https://snapwidget.com/dashboard), click the widget.

**2. Set Photo Link to Lightbox**

On the **Advanced** tab, set **Photo Link** to **Lightbox**.

**3. Update the code on your website**

Click **Update & Get Widget**, then **Copy To Clipboard**. Replace the old code on your website with the new code.

> [!WARNING]
>
> You must replace the code on your website. The lightbox needs two extra lines that only the new code has. Without them, nothing happens when a visitor clicks a post.

**Lightbox** is in **Photo Link** on Pro Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and YouTube widgets. The **Feed** layout has no **Photo Link** setting.

To add product links to the lightbox, see [Shoppable photos](/docs/widget-settings/shoppable-photos).
