「生誕」 「建物の直線に〝ツノ〟の曲線で対抗させ、生みの苦しみとエネルギーを表現した」 光る彫刻《生誕》は、建築家・黒川紀章設計の山形県寒河江市庁舎の竣工に合わせて、制作されました。
360度に伸び広がる有機的な角は、直線的な建物のデザインと対照的なフォルムを主張しています。
その姿は、宇宙空間でエネルギーを放出しながら生命が誕生する瞬間を形にしています。
建物中央の吹き抜けホール天井から吊るされた作品は、彫刻であると同時に、巨大な照明器具でもあります。
