Most wineries I visited this week had a sparkling wine or two. This one was made from the Verdicchio grape which I’d not tasted before. A similar style to Prosecco and made in the Charmat method. As part of the tasting we also tried a dessert wine and
Pollo al horno with arroz mamposteao (yellow rice mixed with beans) from Bebo’s Cafe in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You can choose your own side dish such as arroz congri (rice with black beans), tostones (fried plantains), or amarillos (sweet plantains).
