外部の門素戸を加工しています。外部格子では、普通に組むだけでは外部の環境で外れないように、縦桟に穴を掘り横桟を突き通します。縦桟が右へ左へ行かないようにする為にちょっとした加工を施します。一本はかき込みをした部材突き通して、もう一つの部材で締めます。これを「見込み割り」または「割り貫」もいいます。これもまた先人の知恵。。
習った当時に 門素戸はほかの格子より材料もよく食うし手間も食うので「木い食いの手間食い」とも習いました。
