五代将軍、徳川綱吉さんの母、桂昌院さん（お玉さん）がお生まれになった地域です。
『玉の輿』と言う言葉の由来は、このお玉さんからだそうです。

とても立派な御車やお神輿などなど、
貴重な経験をさせていただきました。
