私たちが支援活動をするスンバ島。起伏の大きい丘陵地で島の森林率は5%程度と言われています。そんなスンバ島でも川が流れているとこのように木が育ちます。しかし、給水設備のないスンバ島では、水を汲み上げて生活や農業に使うことができません。また、毎年雨季には氾濫し付近を水没させます。水位は2メートルほどにもなり、その間およそ3ヶ月は学校が休校になり子どもたちは授業を受けることができなくなります。教員や教育設備が不足している農村部の子どもたちの学力低下を更に招くことになっています。 #有機農業 #野菜 #野菜作り #
