神戸マラソンでは、復興へ手を差し伸べていただいたすべての方に感謝を伝えるため、コース沿道をひまわりの黄色で彩り、ランナーを応援します。

第８回大会でも『みんなで咲かせる“感謝と友情”のひまわり』を掲げ、ランナーの皆さんをはじめ、沿道応援の皆さん、ボランティアの皆さん、関係者の皆さん、大会にかかわるすべての人で大輪のひまわりを咲かせたいと考えています。
