(홍콩/김영화·이명익 기자) 8월18일 홍콩 코스웨이 베이역 앞, 우산을 든 시위대 행렬 가운데서 노래 ‘Do you hear the people sing'이 울려 퍼졌습니다. 비가 오는 와중에도 170만 시민이 거리로 나와 범죄인인도법 반대와 경찰의 폭력적인 진압을 규탄했는데요. 우려했던 바와 달리 물리적 충돌은 빚어지지 않았고 중국군 역시 홍콩에 진입하지 않아 평화적으로 시위가 마무리 되었습니다....
