1Q84が出版された当時、友人とこの本の話をしたなぁ〜と思い出し10年越しに読んでみました。
携帯がなく、ナンバーディスプレイもない公衆電話の時代、人と連絡を取るのは一苦労だったんだなぁ〜と思いました。
今まで日本人小説家の本を自分から読むことはなく、フィクションはつまらないと感じ学生時代に小説を読むのをやめたけれど、最近日本の小説を読むのも良いなと感じるようになった。日本語の表現力を磨くためにも、また読んでみようと思う。
