This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar tools that Espresso Dev (Pty) Ltd ("SnapWidget", "we", "us") uses on snapwidget.com, in the SnapWidget app, on the photo pages that open from free widgets, and in the widgets that our customers put on their websites. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in general.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Websites use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your choices and to measure how people use them. Some services use similar tools, such as pixels and local storage. This policy calls all of them cookies.
Cookies we set
These cookies are necessary for the website and the app to work, so they are always on.

Our record of what you do on the website
On snapwidget.com, the signup page and the pages where you confirm your email address, set up your first widget and choose a plan, a script of ours records the pages you open, the buttons and links you click, the form fields you go into, the error messages you see and how far you scroll. It never records what you type. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser and does not keep your IP address: it uses a code that changes every day. When you are signed in, the record also holds your user ID. We use the record to find where people get stuck and to improve the website, and we delete it after 90 days.
Cookies set by other companies
The services below set their own cookies when you use our website or app. Each company handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Analytics
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) counts visits and page views on snapwidget.com. Cookies: _ga and _ga_*. Opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- DataFast records which pages and sources bring visitors to snapwidget.com. Cookies: datafast_visitor_id and datafast_session_id.
Support, payments and referrals
- Intercom (Intercom, Inc.) runs our support chat. Its cookies keep your conversation open between pages. Cookies: intercom-id-*, intercom-session-* and intercom-device-id-*.
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) runs our checkout and sets cookies inside the checkout window.
- Rewardful runs our affiliate program. Cookie: rewardful.referral.
Security and performance
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) protects our website from attacks and bots. Cookies: __cf_bm and cf_clearance.
Advertising
- Google Ads (Google LLC) measures our ad campaigns and shows our ads to people who visited snapwidget.com.
- Google AdSense (Google LLC) shows ads on the photo pages that open when you click a post in a free widget. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google's consent message on these pages first. You can turn off personalised Google ads in Google's ad settings.
Widgets on other websites
When a website shows a SnapWidget widget, the widget loads from snapwidget.com in an iframe. On the free plan, clicking a post opens a photo page on snapwidget.com, where the cookies in this policy apply.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies we set, you cannot sign in to the app. Your browser's help pages explain how: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge.
To opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at once, use Your Online Choices (EU), the Network Advertising Initiative (US) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (US).
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change, and we change the effective date at the top.
