ツーウェイとは「両面通行の」「2方向通行の」という意味。キッチンからの出入り口が2ヵ所あるタイプをツーウェイキッチンという。洗面室とつながっていると料理をしながら洗濯ができ、動線が短いため家事がはかどります。最近のマンションでは廊下や洗面室だけでなく、バルコニーへの出入り口もあるスリーウェイキッチンも登場。キッチンで出たゴミを捨てたり、洗濯物を干すのに便利です。
