忙しくてなかなか見に行くことができなかったけど、ようやく行けた。
公開からかなり時間が経っていて上映館が限られていて、入ったのだがまさかの満席。あとちょっとで立ち見になるとこだった。
1967年のデトロイトでの暴動、そして悪夢の「アルジェ・モーテル事件」をその時起こった出来事を忠実に再現している。現場にいた白人女性の方も監修に関わったそうだ。
特にレイシストな警官役のウィル・ポールターの演技は半端じゃなく、撮影中にはあまりに自分に対する嫌悪感で泣き崩れてしまったそう。壮絶な現場だったことがわかる。
