姫路・白なめし/牛革
この所作で使用している革は定番の牛革と異なる「姫路白なめし」の牛革。
「姫路白なめし」とは近代なめし法が普及する1000年以上も前から脈々と受け継がれてきた伝統的な天然技法によってつくられます。
名前の通り色は白く、柔軟で強靭、かつ加工しやすいという特徴があり、遥か昔より武具類の製作や絵付・染付けには欠くことのできない素材でした。
