紅茶の日が制定されたのはの1983年。
僕の故郷でもある伊勢国(現三重県)出身の船頭、大黒屋光太夫が遭難事故にあってしまい、ロシアに漂着しました。
帰国の許可が出るまで10年間滞在せざる得ませんでした。そんな中、幸運にも当時のロシア皇帝エカチェリーナ2世の茶会に招かれる機会を得ました。
