江戸切子とは、江戸時代後期から
受け継がれる日本伝統工芸のひとつで、
ガラスの表面に彫刻を施す技法。
江戸切子の職人が一つひとつ手作業で、
丁寧に仕上げたサファイア素材の
ベゼルを採用。
通常、江戸切子はクリスタルガラスの
ような硬度の低い素材を使用するが、
硬度の高いサファイアに、ハンドメイドで
時間をかけて加工。
