久しぶりに発音の勉強です。
Elevenは、「イレブン」では通じません。
英語は、「イ」と聞こえる音が4つあって、日本語の「イ」は、eatのeaと舌????の高さが同じなので、/i:/とネイティブには聞こえて、次の/l/と一緒になって、/i:l/つまり、「鰻」と言ったように聞こえるそうです。「イレブン」で「鰻がどうした？」です。
この音は、顔の筋肉をゆるめて、喉に声を当てください。「イ」と「エ」の間のような音です。この音は、アクセントのない弱音ですが、そのような音ですら間違えると通じません。
