葛きりで有名な「鍵善」が新しく出したオシャレカフェ、ZEN CAFEに行ってきた。私が頼んだのは葛餅。友人が頼んだのは、新緑をイメージした薫風という名の上生菓子(4枚目)。

そうか！二十四節気とか七十二候とか、四季より更に細かい季節の移ろいを味わう文化の国、日本。そんな国の食は、お菓子でさえも季節を表現するのか！一気に和菓子に興味を持ってしまった。
