木製盛皿 縁部分の修理

20年ほど使っているお皿の縁部分が剥がれてひどい状態になってきたので、新しいものを探そうかと思っていたところ、修理が可能かもしれないと知り、できれば直して使い続けたいと思い、ご相談いただきました。
表面はそのまま触らず、縁の広がっている部分を接着し、縁周りを朱の漆で塗って仕上げました。
元々ウルミ塗りでしたので、色が明るくなり、不思議と全体の雰囲気も変わります。
