我們先來談導演的部分，雖然是新人導演，但卻已經是有名的喜劇演員，如果有在看B.C.LOWY的翻譯作品，肯定會知道他就是黑人二人組裡面的人！再來電影本身所傳達的訊息都跟導演的成長背景有關。導演的爸爸是非裔美國人而媽媽是白人，雖說在現代這樣的交往很正常的，但就不代表種族歧視已經消失了，且導演本身皮膚也偏黑，可以想像得到經常會被種族議題給開
