別海町は酪農の町ですが、東側はオホーツク海に面していて、海の幸も豊富です。
今の旬はあきあじ（鮭）ですが、冬になるとホタテ漁が始まり、大ぶりでぷりっぷりのホタテが食べられるようになります。

今ちょうど、さっぽろ大通公園では「さっぽろオータムフェスタ」開催中。
