Can I get the embed code from TikTok itself?
Yes, on a computer. Open the video on tiktok.com and choose the embed option in its share menu. TikTok gives the embed code only on a computer, not in the app. This tool makes the same kind of code from the link, on any device.
Why does the tool not accept my TikTok link?
The TikTok app usually copies a short link, such as https://vm.tiktok.com/..., which does not contain the video's number. Open the short link in your browser, then copy the full address. It looks like https://www.tiktok.com/@username/video/7123456789012345678.
Why does my embedded TikTok not show?
The video is from a private account, or it was deleted. TikTok applies the same rules to embeds as to the app, so a video that TikTok removes also stops playing on your site. An ad or tracker blocker can also stop TikTok's script.
What is the difference between an embed code and a TikTok widget?
An embed code shows one video that you choose. A TikTok widget shows your latest videos in a scrollable feed with a Follow button and adds new ones by itself. It needs a paid plan from $8 a month, with a 14-day free trial.
