A Your reviews source holds reviews that you add yourself. Use it for the testimonials that your customers send you. The reviews that you add show in your widgets at once. You do not need to approve them. SnapWidget copies the photos and video files of your reviews to its own storage. Your widget keeps a photo or video when the original site removes it. If a photo does not load, the widget shows the initials of the reviewer.

Make a Your reviews source

1

Add a source

Log in to SnapWidget. Click Sources in the sidebar, then click Add Source.
2

Choose Your reviews

Under Reviews, click Your reviews. In Name, type a name for the source, for example “Customer testimonials”. Click Create Source.
Then add reviews by hand, or import a CSV file.

Add a review by hand

1

Open the source

On the Sources page, click your Your reviews source.
2

Click Add Review

Click Add Review.
3

Fill in the review

Name and Text are necessary. All other fields are optional.
4

Save the review

Click Add Review. The review shows in your widgets at once.

Import a CSV file

1

Make the CSV file

Put the column names in the first row, and one review in each row after it. See the column names below. A CSV file from Senja (Export all to CSV) works as it is.
2

Open the source

On the Sources page, click your Your reviews source.
3

Import the file

Click Import CSV. Select your file and click Import.

Rules for the file

  • The file needs a name column and a text column. SnapWidget skips a row that has no name or no text.
  • SnapWidget does not add a review again if the source already has a review with the same name and text. You can import the same file again.
  • SnapWidget reads up to 1,000 rows from one file.
  • Links to photos, videos and websites must start with https:// or http://.
  • Words that you highlighted in Senja stay highlighted in your widget.

Column names

SnapWidget reads these column names. Upper case, lower case, spaces and punctuation do not matter. For example, Customer Name, customer_name and customername all work. More about the values:
  • Rating: a number, for example 5 or 4.5. A number above 5 counts as 5.
  • Date: most date formats work, for example 2026-10-26.
  • Video: if a cell has more than one link, separated by commas, SnapWidget uses the first link. If a row has a link in the video mp4 url column, SnapWidget uses that link first. If a row has no video but its link to the review is a YouTube link, SnapWidget shows that YouTube video.
  • Logo: G2, G2 Crowd, Google, Google Reviews, Capterra, Trustpilot, Product Hunt, Twitter, X, LinkedIn or Facebook. Other values show no logo.
