With a popup, a click on a photo opens a small browser window. Your website stays open behind it. Photo Link has two popup options:
  • Photo Popup: opens the large photo in a popup window.
  • Instagram Popup: opens the Instagram post in a popup window. On Facebook and X widgets, this option is Facebook Popup or Twitter Popup.
Popup options need a Pro widget. Pro widgets come with the Lite, Pro and Developer plans. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. See Free and Pro widgets.

Open your widget

On your dashboard, click the widget.

Choose a popup option

On the Advanced tab, set Photo Link to Photo Popup or Instagram Popup.Photo Link set to Photo Popup on the Advanced tab

Save

Click Update & Get Widget to save. The popup works with the code that is already on your website.
These options are on Pro Grid, Board, Slideshow and Scrolling widgets. To keep the post on your page instead of in a new window, use a lightbox.
Looking for the small floating box that shows your latest Instagram post on your website? That is the Popup layout. Select it when you create an Instagram widget.
